Headwaters is a family run business spanning three generations. Located in the idyllic and quaint town of Takaka, Golden Bay, New Zealand.

Our Story

Since 1996 Headwaters has done more than refine an old tradition, we've started a new one.

Guided by sheer persistence and determination, we are fusing tried and proven distillation techniques from around the world to create our very own Single Malt. What started as a goat milking shed, we've transformed into a working distillery.

Using our custom built 1,000 litre pot still, we make everything in small batches and use organic sustainable products where possible. From our family home to you, we hope you enjoy this limited edition single malt as much as we do.
